  • a Tc1 and Tc2 cells were activated in vitro for 5 and 2 days as described in the legend to Fig. 2 and labeled with CFSE; 7 × 106 Vα2+Vβ8+ cells were adoptively transferred into C57BL/6J hosts. One day later, recipient mice were challenged with 5 × 105 LL-LCMV tumor cells s.c. in the flank. Mice from each group were sacrificed at days 3, 8, and 13 after tumor challenge, and cell suspensions were prepared from spleen, lymph node, and s.c. tissue corresponding to the tumor site. The percent of CFSE+ cells at each site was determined by FACS analysis. Data from one mouse (day 3) or average ± range from two mice (days 8 and 13) are shown. The experiment was repeated three times with similar results. Data from one representative experiment are shown.
