  • a CD40L−/− mice and +/+ mice were infected with 2 × 105 PFU LCMV-Armstrong. At day 8 postinfection, CD8 T cell responses were quantitated by intracellular staining for IFN-γ ex vivo. Note that similar numbers of CD8 T cells could be found in both groups of mice and that absence of CD40-CD40L had no effect on dominant or subdominant epitopes. Data shown are from a representative experiment involving four mice, and the numbers indicate the average with SD.
