Summary
Rabbits four months old and younger are not susceptible to the lethal action of staphylococcus toxin. This lack of general systemic reactivity is paralleled by non-reactivity of the skin.
These results compare with the results obtained in humans and it is suggested that a study of this naturally occurring allergic-like phenomenon may throw some light on the problem of bacterial allergy in general.
