On the cover: Mice were prophylactically immunized parenterally with a live-attenuated HSV-1 vaccine and subsequently challenged in the eye with a virulent strain. Cornea whole mounts were labeled with complement C3d (blue), HSV-1 Ag (red), and phalloidin (green) to delineate cell boundaries. Confocal imaging revealed intracellular C3d/HSV-1 Ag colocalization (white). Royer, D. J., M. M. Carr, H. R. Gurung, W. P. Halford, D. J. J. Carr.
