On the cover: TGF-β1 induces phenotypic transition and migration of mesothelial cells in the context of pleural fibrosis, a process called "mesothelial fibroblastoid transformation." The image shows a rat pleura 7 days after adenoviral gene transfer of TGF-β1 to the pleural mesothelium.
