Summary
The graft vs host (GVH) reactivity of spleen cells from mice possessing the high tumor genotypes Aya and Avya was compared with the reactivity of spleen cells from histocompatible nonagouti animals. Spleen cells from YBR aa mice caused significantly greater GVH reactions than YBR Aya cells, and spleen cells from C57BL/6J aa donors were more reactive in GVH assays than cells from C57BL/6J Avya mice. These results suggest that reduced immune responsiveness may be involved in the tumor susceptibility of Aya and Avya mice.
