Summary
Within the limits of our techniques, we could not demonstrate any serologic cross-reactions between streptococcal M proteins and human histocompatibility antigens, nor could we detect antibodies to human transplantation antigens in persons during the acute or convalescent phases of rheumatic fever, or subsequent to the administration of streptococcal M protein vaccine.
