Online Activation Procedures for Individual Subscriptions (member or personal)

Features of an Individual Online Subscription:

Individual Subscribers have individual access to full-text articles from 1916 to present, current and future tables of contents, abstracts and full-text searching. Access is available by username/password from any computer connected to the internet.

How Individual Online Access Works: When access is attempted, a screen will pop up asking for username and password. Online access from a personal subscription is only available to the subscriber. A personal subscriber may not share a password or post any material from The JI to a proxy server.

After you receive an acceptance letter that states your customer or member number and the estimated date that access will be available, you may activate your subscription.

Click on the link:

ACTIVATE YOUR ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION

This link will bring up the online agreement for individuals. Read the terms and conditions, fill out the requested information and check the "I Agree" box at the bottom. You will not be able to access the online journal without agreeing to the terms and conditions.

After the "I Agree" link is checked, a sign-in box will appear. Enter the customer or member number found in the customer or member acceptance letter and click the "Submit" button.

Fill out the subsequent form requesting "Contact Information". Enter a user name and password. Please do not share this information with anyone. (If you forget your user name and/or password, click here.)

Then click the 'SEND FORM' button.

When you click 'Send Form' you will be able to access all of the content contained in The Journal of Immunology.

Managing Your Individual Subscription

Troubleshoot Access Issues:

No Access: If your user name and/or password does not allow access, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that your subscription has been paid. If you are not sure, personal subscribers may e-mail the Subscription Department at jisubs@aai.org; members may e-mail members@aai.org.
  2. Make sure that you have activated your online account.
  3. You may have forgotten your user name or password. Reset your user name and password using the link change password/subscription information. If you forget your customer or member number, look on the label on the plastic wrapper that contains the print version of The Journal of Immunology.

What To Do if You Forget Your Customer Number:

Your customer number appears on the plastic wrapper that contains your mailed print copy of The Journal of Immunology.

If you no longer have the plastic wrapper, please click on Feedback and submit a request for assistance.

  1. If you have paid for a subscription and access is still denied, please send an e-mail to Feedback.
