Cover Figure

On the cover: The human IgA1 Fc region highlighting residues probed in a study of motifs essential for interaction with human polymeric Ig receptor (pIgR). Residues colored yellow (Cys311), purple (Lys377), pink (Phe411, Val413, Thr414), and red (Pro440, Leu441, Ala442, and Phe443) were found to be critical for pIgR interaction and pIgR-mediated transcytosis. Lewis, M. J., R. J. Pleass, M. R. Batten, J. D. Atkin, and J. M. Woof. 2005. Structural requirements for the interaction of human IgA with the human polymeric Ig receptor. J. Immunol. 175: 6694-6701.
