About the Cover

Cover Figure

On the cover: The endoscopical picture shows severe DSS-colitis after transfer of CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells (Treg) with impaired TGF- signaling. In contrast, transfer of wild-type Treg protected mice from the induction of colitis. TGF- signaling in CD4+ CD25+ Treg is therefore required for their in vivo immunosuppressive capacity. Hubber et al. Cutting edge: TGF- signaling is required for the in vivo expansion and immunosuppressive capacity of regulatory CD4+ CD25+ T cells. J. Immunol. 173:6526.
