Genes downregualted by CSA in skin and associated cell types
mRNA of skin biopsies of baseline non-lesional (NL), lesional (LS) and D14 post treatment with CSA from 11 patients was hybridized to individual oligonucleotide arrays containing ~12000 human genes (Affymetrix HG-U95Av2 chips). The genes are significantly different and 1.5 fold upregulated in lesional versus non-lesional and D14 post treatment.
Symbol, Gene Ontology (GO) Biological Process and description are described in Gene Ontology annotations.
Associated cell types are CSA regulate genes that are expressed in resting cells: dendritic cells (DC: immature (iDC), mature (mDC)), monocytes, myeloid cells (monocytes, macrophages and DC), leukocytes (DCs, monocytes, T cells), keratinocytes (KC) and fibroblasts (Fb), cytokine stimulated (activated with TNF and IFNƒ× (IFN)) keratinocytes and activated T cells (in the presence of anti-CD3/CD28 antibody in isolated T cells or PBMC). Gene activation in the presence of IL-17: * (8) and ^unpublished observation in keratinocytes treated with IL-17.
