Data Supplement
Supplemental Videos. Anti-TNF£\ treatment reverses Tacaribe-induced paralysis. TCRV infected C57BL/6 mice were left untreated until signs of paralysis were evident on day 13 p.i. Mice exhibiting paralysis of 2 or more limbs usually die within 18 h. Video 1 shows the mouse prior to treatment. On day 13 p. i., the mouse was treated with hamster anti-mouse TNFƒÑ mAb (2E2). Videos 2 and 3 show the same mouse two and five days after treatment (days 15 and 18 p. i. respectively). Note that in video 2 the left hind-limb is paralysed, while in video 3, although movement is still slightly impaired neither hind limb is paralysed. Shown is one of multiple experiments with similar results.
