Tan, B. H., C. Meinken, M. Bastian, H. Bruns, A. Legaspi, M. T. Ochoa, S. R. Krutzik, B. R. Bloom, T. Ganz, R. L. Modlin, and S. Stenger. 2006. Macrophages acquire neutrophil granules for antimicrobial activity against intracellular pathogens. J. Immunol. 177: 1864–1871 .

In the last sentence of the first paragraph of Discussion on page 1868, the authors incorrectly stated: "These data provide evidence that macrophages acquire antimicrobial activity against intracellular pathogens through the uptake of neutrophil granules and extend earlier findings on the cooperation between murine neutrophils and macrophages infected with avirulent mycobacteria (10)." The corrected sentence should read: "These data provide evidence that macrophages acquire antimicrobial activity against intracellular pathogens through the uptake of neutrophil granules and extend earlier findings on the cooperation between neutrophils and macrophages in mycobacterial infection in which experimental murine infections with Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium microti were investigated (10)."
