  - Migration of an EGFP+ lymphoid cell to the thymus of medaka embryo at stage 32 (4 dpf). Another example of anterior-to-posterior cellular traffic in the migration towards the thymus at this stage.

  - Migration of an EGFP+ lymphoid cell to the thymus of medaka embryo at stage 37 (7 dpf). Fluorescence signals (green) at a plane 150 ƒÝm from the surface of the body were collected every 20 seconds for 10 minutes. Note that EGFP+ lymphoid cells migrated into the thymus from the posterior side. Non-motile EGFP+ cells close to but outside the thymic mass may represent cells in regions neighboring the thymic mass. These regions may represent part of the thymus that exhibits a transient long shape during late embryonic stages. Scale bar = 20 um.

  - Migration of EGFP+ lymphoid cells into and out of the thymus of medaka embryo at stage 37 (7 dpf). Fluorescence signals (green) at a plane 150 um from the surface of the body were collected every 10 seconds for 10 minutes. In addition to the entry of EGFP+ cells, egress of some EGFP+ cells is shown. Scale bar = 20 um.
