To correctly define the population, the authors wish to rectify a typographical error in referring to CD8+ T cells in the third sentence of the fourth paragraph of Results. The correct sentence is shown below.

Simultaneous staining for these two surface markers revealed that cells belonging to the memory (CD27+/CD45RO+), memory-effector (CD27-/CD45RO+), or, in the case of CD8+ T cells, effector/cytolytic (CD27-/CD45RO-) subsets, were enriched among lesional T cells (Table III, see also Fig. 2).
