Kenneth Amiraian and Edward J. Leikhim

From the Division of Laboratories and Research, New York State Department of Health, Albany, New York

Abstract

The use of anion-exchange chromatography for purification of rabbit antisheep hemolysin ({gamma}1) is confirmed. The technique is extended to the purification of {gamma}2 hemolytic and agglutinating antibodies. The latter types of antibodies have been digested with papain and some immunologic properties of the fragments so derived are reported.
