-GlobulinFrom the Department of Serology, the National Institute of Health, Tokyo, Japan, and California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California
Abstract
-globulin, obtained by coupling with bis-diazotized benzidine, induced Arthus-like reactions in normal guinea pigs. The aggregated
-globulin and soluble BSA-anti-BSA complexes were comparable on a weight basis with respect to their biologic activity.
-globulin was dependent on the animal species from which the
-globulin was derived. Neither aggregated bovine nor chicken
-globulin showed activity. Horse
-globulin induced the skin reaction upon aggregation, although it was less active than the aggregated human and rabbit
-globulins.
-globulin prepared by heating and by coupling with bis-diazotized benzidine induced erythema-wheal reactions in humans. Footnotes
