Abstract

The following peptides have been isolated on a preparative scale (100–500 mg) from soluble chymotryptic hydrolysates of fibroin: Gly(Gly, Ala)Tyr; Gly(Gly, Val)Tyr; Gly(Gly3,Ala3)-Tyr; Gly(Gly3,Ala2, Val(Tyr; Ala(Gly2, Val, Asp)Tyr; and a mixture of dodecapeptides of the form [Gly(Gly3,Ala3)Tyr][Gly(Gly, Val)Tyr], [Gly(Gly3,Ala2, Val)Tyr] [Gly(Gly,Ala)Tyr] and so forth.
