Leon S. Kind and Luise Roesner

From the Department of Microbiology, University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco, California

Abstract

Water soluble extracts of rye grass, Bermuda grass, timothy grass and regweed have endotoxinlike effects in pertussis-inoculated mice. Mice can also be sensitized to local and systemic anaphylaxis with pollens. A laboratory animals is thus available for studying possible in vivo interactions between toxic and allergenic components of pollens.
