From the Department of Animal Pathology, Kentucky Agricultural Experiment Station, Lexington, Ky.

Abstract

A study was made of the heat-labile antigens of 26 cultures representing toxic and nontoxic strains of Clostridium parabotulinum, nontoxic organisms related to C. parabotulinum and strains designated as C. sporogenes. All cultures formed a serological group which is referred to as serological group II of the proteolytic clostridia.

Antigenic formulas were assigned to members of the group.
