Spectrophotometric Standardization of Complement for Fixation Tests¹

Abstract

Details are given of a spectrophotometric method for the standardization of complement in terms of the 50% hemolytic unit. The procedure eliminates uncertainties due to subjective factors and yields precise and reproducible determinations of complement activity.
