Abstract
A formula is given for large-scale production of tetanal toxin on a medium initially free from antigenic components. All materials used are commercially available. Results obtained in this laboratory from the use of this medium in lots up to twenty liters in size are presented. Discrepancies are noted between antigenicity-tests carried out by the writers and at the National Institute of Health. These are being investigated. Experiments directed toward an understanding of the factors, other than iron, which limit toxin-production are being continued.
