Abstract
Electrophoretic analyses have been made of the sera of several horses hyperimmunized against tetanal toxin. Mobility measurements show that each of these sera contains a large new T-component having u = ca 2.0 x 105 cm2 sec1 volt1. The serum of one horse was studied at various stages of the hyper-immunizing process; this new T-peak became prominent when a large amount of antitoxin appeared in the serum. In spite of this obvious association of antitoxic activity with T, the areas under the T-peaks cannot be taken as proportional to the measured antitoxic activity.
