Serological Variants of Pneumococcus Types 9 and 10

State Serum Institute, Copenhagen (Director: Th. Madsen, M.D.)

Abstract

Agglutinative and absorptive tests have revealed three serological type 9 variants (subgroups) and two type 10 variants. Comparative mouse-protective tests showed conformity with the antigenic structures found.
