Specific suppression of human T lymphocyte function by leukotriene B4

DG Payan and EJ Goetzl

Leukotriene B4, but not leukotrienes C4, D4, E4, or 12(S)-leukotriene B4, inhibited in a concentration-dependent manner the capacity of PHA- stimulated human T lymphocytes to generate LIF activity and to proliferate, as assessed by the uptake of [3H]thymidine.
