Abstract

Rat basophilic leukemia cells which bind rat IgE-release particulate material as they lose viability. This material appears to contain the surface receptors for IgE in their native form. Up to 80% of the receptor activity has been recovered in a fraction which contains only 4 to 5% of the total cellular protein.
