The Preparation of Human Kininogen

II. Further Characterization of Purified Human Kininogen1

Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School at the Robert B. Brigham Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts 02120

Abstract

Highly purified human plasma kininogen was detected functionally and antigenically in order to establish its electrophoretic mobility, isoelectric point and molecular weight. The effect of specific and nonspecific treatment upon these parameters was assessed and it is suggested that the several human kininogens may in fact represent alterations of a single plasma protein.
