The Antigen Receptor in Delayed-Type Hypersensitivity

I. Isolation with an Affinity Label1

William C. Hill2

From the Trudeau Institute, Saranac Lake, New York 12983

Abstract

Antigen-specific receptors have been demonstrated on lymphoid cells from guinea pigs sensitized to give delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions. A unique affinity label was used to trace the reactive molecule. After solubilization of the cell membrane, two specifically labeled components of restricted molecular weight were isolated by chromatographic methods.
