Cleavage of the Fc Fragment of IgA1

Abstract

A stable Fc fragment was obtained by incubation of human IgA with sodium borohydride (NaBH4). The molecular weight of this fragment is 64,000. The hexose content of Fc{alpha} was found to be 1.8 g%.
