VI. Reaction with Subunits from Guinea Pig ₁- and ₂-Globulin¹

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to establish which regions of guinea pig ₁- and ₂-globulins react with protein A from S. aureus. In each case the Fc fragment inhibited the reaction between protein A and anti-EA ₁- and ₂-globulin. No reactions between protein A and the Fab and F(ab')₂ fragments were observed.
